Alain Leroy is the Founder & Managing Partner of Venture Philanthropy Blueprint™ Ventures (VPB Ventures), a social impact platform dedicated to transforming how mission-driven ventures are funded and scaled—through the integration of capital, innovation, and execution. He is an active angel investor and limited partner in a social impact venture fund and serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for multiple high-growth incubators and startup accelerators.
With over 30 years of experience across both corporate and entrepreneurial sectors, Alain has held leadership roles at IBM, Deloitte Consulting, and BDO Global, where he led major digital transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. His work in Corporate America has focused on emerging technologies, innovation strategy, and go-to-market execution—building scalable solutions across sectors including software, entertainment, financial services, and healthcare.
Alain’s journey as a Builder began early. He exited his first tech startup before graduating college, then launched his first social enterprise in 2004—a cultural identity lifestyle brand uniting the Caribbean and Latin American diaspora, for which he raised $100K in pre-seed funding and received the Key to the City of Miami Beach. In 2011, he co-founded his second social enterprise in partnership with the largest retailer in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic—pioneering a fintech solution that helped families more easily support loved ones back home. He later co-founded a voluntourism venture that brought professionals to the Caribbean to experience “See Haiti Through Our Eyes”—an impact travel initiative designed to reshape global narratives around his parents’ homeland by highlighting the country’s resilience, rich culture, and untold stories.
As a founding member of a Caribbean-based consulting firm in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Alain developed the PMO infrastructure to manage over 1,500 capital improvement projects, deploying local workforces to rebuild resilient island communities in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017.
Today, Alain builds growth ecosystems that empower both founders and funders. He is the author of the VPB Handbook and the architect behind the platform’s flagship initiatives, including the Growth Operator Network, Digital Learning Hub, and Investor Readiness Toolkit. He also serves as a board member of The Haitian Roundtable, is a senior advisor to several social enterprises, and is a frequent speaker on inclusive capitalism and tech-powered impact.
Alain earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA in Corporate Strategy and International Business from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He also holds executive certifications in Artificial Intelligence and Business Transformation from MIT, INSEAD, and the Kellogg School of Management.
